Walkin' on water - no editing involved - all timing

I just looked through the top entries. I think this image doesn't quite meet what I understand to be forced perspective. I think that the angle of his body and legs makes it look like he is just about to enter the water not walk on it. Excellent timing to get him just before he breaks the surface. I think this would have done better if you could have shot from the other side of the pool and had him jump in in a walking position instead of a jumping position. Looking at some of the other images I don't think they were really forced perspective photos either, but rather photoshopped images.
I am not sure I completely understand the concept of forced perspective. This picture was definitely good timing, I wondered if the photographer was going for the running on water effect , or if this picture was taken and then discovered to have that effect. A photo from the side could have worked better.
As I tried this exercise (forced perspective) myself, I do now understand how difficult it is to get it all correct. It was fun.

I recommend you rotate a bit to have the far dock horizontal and then crop (up from the lower right) to get the boy out of the center...on the right thirds line. That will probably eliminate the horizontal line anyway.
Otherwise great timing and a nice simple background.
It was not rehearsed or intended - you are correct he is entering the water as he is jumping from a wharf into the lake.. Thanks for your comments.
