High Fever, cant sleep so browsing old pics. Everbody likes to produce close ups, lets see some of your. I dont pretend to be good at close ups, but these two I liked and must admit ther were point and shoots, no post processing and straight out of camera. If anyone sees anything artsy, feel free to play with them

Thanks Ron, coming from such an accumplished "Close Up Man" I really appreciate. However once again that little Japanese lady in the Canon did it again.
The photograph was taken in the Butterfly Palace in Branson, Mo. one of the few places the really welcome photographers.

Good night everyone!

Thanks for the comment. I never was good at close ups but these were not too bad. Would have like a bit of extra sharpness but they were taken though somewhat dirty glass.

First off, I hope you got some sleep last evening and that the fever has dissipated. It appears you are pretty good at close ups. My favorite is that lizard. I did play with two of them. Cropped up on that butterfly wing and think you can use it in a "What is it?" theme in the future. Might be too easy, though it looks a bit like a fish. The lizard I cropped in tight on the head. The sharpness is there just where it should be, around the eye. Feel better.

Great shots Ian. Have you ever been able to capture one in flight. They have that beautiful neon blue color on the wings. I've tried in vain. As soon as they land they fold up.
