Left the house at 5:40 a.m. So glad I did :)
After bringing in a small fish, a mere 15 minutes after I arrived at 6:20, the parent landed on the NEAR shore - yippee! It stayed there for an hour, while the spot went from full shade to full sun. So neat :)
I was surprised to see no squabbling over the meal. The hierarchy is well established, apparently.
Canon SX50 burst mode at equiv. 1200 mm, edits in PSE 12 and Topaz Detail. Several are heavily cropped.
Thanks for viewing!
gorgeous captures indeed!

I enjoyed your series, especially where the eagle is looking straight up. It's great when they get closer.
You got some great shots.
Thank you all so much for your kind words and for taking the time to view. It was a good morning!

WOW, the zoom on that camera is AMAZING if that's how far away you were. Of course your cropping really makes the photos even more sensational for those of us who will never have the chance to see these majestic birds. Thanks so much.
So neat. You're lucky to be able to see such magnificent creatures.
Thank you Linda. I just love seeing what's happening with the babes. These are great shots; you gotta love that SX50. I just hope you or Littlebiddie are there when they actually take off.

You continue to get amazing captures of these eagles Linda. It's enjoyable to follow their story as presented by your strong photographs.
Interesting series, Linda. Very nice.
