What did you do/use to get such an interesting texture and feel to the background in the B/W image?

Thanks Bobby. I have read estimates from several sources that it takes about 10,000 hours of learning and practice to gain mastery of a skill, and I see the work you and Russ post and your comments and explanations of how you do things, and I'm reminded that you guys have put in your 10,000 hours, and I know that I'm still in the early stages of putting in mine but with the teaching you both do so well and so willingly, well, maybe my time to mastery will be reduced to ONLY 9,000 hours.
Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for has been a huge contribution to this section of this forum.

You are welcome Jon and while I have put in my hours I still continue to learn day by day
