I walked out on the deck and saw these in the sky and wondered what they were. Thanks for the info :-D :-D

Yah right, only 500 zillion light years away. Great shots of some very difficult subjects.

What kind of telescope are you using?

Thank you for looking and the fun comment Tramsey. orion photo was taken with a celestron 11 inch Schmidt-cassegrain. my post processing has a lot to be desired.

Bringing down the red saturation will take away some of the nebulosity, but I think it will bring better contrast to the remaining image.

Thanks majestros I hope to get back to the scope by sept. cooler evenings and dark sooner can't stay awake later then 10 pm. lol

An easy trick is to select the eyedropper for color balance and click on a black spot inbetween stars and that will produce the greyish blue/black background. At least that is how I do it, and it seems to work ok. Either way great shots.
