Yesterday with my son, his wife and I visited the 9/11 memorial in NYC.
It is beautiful, I took many pictures, but the pictures don't do the site justice, and the area is still under construction.
I elected to take a walking tour through the 9/11 Tribute Center. The people who conduct the walking are volunteers and are people who had direct association with the event (i.e., survivors, firemen, public works personnel, family, etc.). Through this walking tour, I found that the site didn't have any real meaning, to those who weren't part of the murders on that day (yes, murders, the death certificates all say "homicide") without this guided tour.
I hope this doesn't sound like an advertisement and it isn't meant to, but I do urge everyone who has the opportunity to visit NYC to take one of these walking tours.
What do you mean Tribute Center? Is it on the grounds of the Memorial Fountains and Museum? Now that the museum is open I plan to visit sometime this summer...so please explain "tribute Center" further.....

The Tribute Center is outside the area, about 250 feet from the Memorial Fountains, on Liberty Street. The Tribute Center is the one that provides the guided tours of the area.
