Taken at Madam Brett Park in Beacon, NY, I caught this couple in a deep conversation. Thoughts please?

There really isn't much color so I would lean toward the B&W.

Generally speaking I am not a fan of B & W but in this instance I prefer the B & W.

If you remove the color cast, the color may look better

Thanks, I was thinking along those lines as well. Also, I feel that the B&W adds a bit of emotion to the image.

In this example, I prefer the BW. The composition is better defined and the subjects stand out.

Oh how I miss NY! I'm in the midwest, but I'm an original native of Orange county.

I try a lot of my landscapes both ways, and many time the B&W is more evocative. I vote for the B&W in this case...

B&W, no question. Gives it a timeless feel.

I like the pic better in black and white, but the closer view in the colored pic. Both are great. The colored pic looks like a very sunny day and I kind of like the washout of color for some reason. It adds some realism to it like an old photo. Just my lone opinion.

Very true the original color shot was overexposed. I threw the picture into LR and pulled it back by a 1/2 stop, plus some clarity etc. It may be a smidgen over ripe but you get the idea.

One of the reasons I always shoot raw.
