Got a break in the clouds at around 2 AM and ran out to attempt to shoot the meteor shower. Unfortunately, the clouds moved back in as soon as I began to shoot. Anyone else get anything?

I stood in the yard for about an hour and a half and saw very little. Did have quite a bit of light pollution but a good view of the north sky and saw very little. Had the display been better, we would have headed to the beach and in a better viewing spot. I am not convinced that you missed that much.
Nothing in San Francisco, a quick break in the clouds around midnight, but short lived and then back to overcast. :-(

What do you mean? Camera was on a tripod for a 15 second exposure. As a matter of fact, this was the first of 187 such exposures taken 25 seconds apart for a time lapse project.

To everyone else: We can only try again and again, next time an unprecedented, one of a kind, never before seen celestial phenom comes around. Happy shooting.

Guess I can't feel bad for not even hearing about it... or losing any sleep over it either... lol
Good try anyway edgorm! We're just a couple of months away from the Perseids meteor shower on August 12th. For the rest of 2014, use this calendar to plan your meteor shower photography:

I live in Western North Carolina and I saw two in about 30 mins. We had clear skies here. I thought it was a flop. Oh well maybe next time.
