Wonderful shots with great historic value
Aren't they , tho.
And a reminder that if we want our "modern" shots to be viewable for others in the future,we need to be sure we are taking care to archive.
Great collection of pics.
Whoever took them knew both composition and exposure.

It is too bad that there isn't a credit for each, perhaps the individual didn't know who to credit.

Thanks for the link, Photocat.
I liked the photos on this site but when I went to the train section it seems like the aspect ratio is backward, tall and skinny.
Is there a way to correct this on a home computer?
These photos are not digital, they are from negatives or glass plates.
In the early days there were no tilt and shift lens to correct perspective, so one got the best they could.
For those of you who love old photos here is another site that will keep you busy for a long time.

Enjoy
Great collection, just wish there was some info on location and such, thanks for sharing.
agreed, there might be more info on Shorphy.com
Dear Photocat:
Thank you so much for sharing that web site. It was entirely enjoyable! So much to look at, so much to remember, and to experience.
All the best,
