Gessman your photos are wonderful, i'm no pro photographer and I don't critque I'll leave that to the real pros, but I can tell you what I do like and that is your photo of the Iris to me that one was a work of art, I did enjoy that photo. When I view a photogragh and I want to go back and view it again thats special, thanks for sharing that one.

Thank you Howie. I feel the same way about your images. You have produced some magnificent images of your collection. I've sat and stared at some of the images you've produced and the content you were dealing with and gotten lost in wonderment. You have such a unique interest. I'll get you to tell me how you got started with your collecting one of these days when you have the time. I don't know anything about what you're collecting but it sure is intriguing. You would seem to be a person with a deep appreciation for beautiful and somewhat delicate objects. That wouldn't be a bad thing.

Thanks Gessman for your kind words and interest for my hobby thats been going on for thirty some years, I am an avid rockhound and my inventory would fill a museum so I'll never run out of subjects to photogragh, it's funny when people come over to see my collection at first it's " oh rocks...so why do you collect rocks?" but when they hold these pieces of natures art in their hand they're hooked ,so I send them home with their first piece and TADA a rockhound is born...no that's not my mission in life but it's fun.

I can certainly see how easy it would be to develop an interest in the beauty of your rocks. My wife and I have casually done a little rock, fossil, and Indian artifact hunting over the years when we were a bit younger but I have to say that we've not come across anything like you have. I've been curious about the size of those I've seen and don't recall you talking about that except in your most recent post you said one was about the size of a golf ball. It's beautiful and interesting stuff, and you do an excellent job photographing them.

It's about time for me to hit the rack here. I'd like to be able to talk with you more about your rocks in the future without robbing you of valuable time if that would work. Perhaps when you post some more I could ask you a question or two about size, your photographing technique, etc., if that'd be okay. I've wanted to do that but haven't.
