I couldn't afford a FF but maybe a pano can work better.
A FF dslr (even used on ebay) is out of my price range, so I tried taking 3 vertical shots with my 28mm f3.5 Nikkor lens and Nikon D3100, hand held, with just room light at 1/60 sec. in my den. I lightened each of the shots in Photoshop, then used the Photoshop merge facility to create a 3 shot horizontal pano. I was amazed at how well photoshop merged the three pics seamlessly, fixed the differences in lighting, color and perspective into a a great wide angle shot, with a larger angle of view than the 28mm lens would have created on a FF dslr.
Bob, that came out pretty good.
As long as you're doing that much work, you might as well straighten it completely!
Good job. ;-)

SS,
It's hard to know when to stop fiddling, but I think this version's a bit better in color and perspective.
Thanks for the inspiration. I kept hitting the Photoshop limits with the perspective and lens correction filters.
If anyone wants to improve it, feel free to download it and post it back. Thanks.
