These are poor photos with lots of noise, I realise that but 1:1 cropped and a spur for me to learn more about insects.

I don't know what the 3rd. insect is but it, and others like it, were mixed in with the Oleander Aphids.

Sorry I forgot to use the download button until it was too late.

F 16, 1/200 sec. and 100 ISO.

These look pretty good to me. Keep at it. #3 is just a discarded husk, I believe.

Thanks Douglass and Flytextreme I've been practising again today on a young Praying Mantis, Insects in the dunes and some stacking on a flower. Also, I found a spider which I think was a jumper but it got away. This subject is very diverse with plenty of subject matter.

First image is nicely done. Getting good detail on aphids at high magnification can be hit or miss. You did well.

Thanks A-PeeR for an encouraging comment. There is a lot more to macro than I had ever imagined but I am having fun learning.

The last image is a cast skin of an aphid. As they increase in size they grow a new larger exoskeleton and shed the old one because it gets too small. The cast skin is also called an exiviae.

Thanks rhadams824 I will make a note of that name. How detailed and complicated living things are, even down to the smallest simplest creatures.
