I hope this appeals to some viewers. At least when you see my caption Silhouette you'll know rather to stop by or just keep on cruising.
Convert to a good contrast B/W and it'll be a real silloutte...

Very nice shot. I too would like to see a b&w version.
In a B&W the sky becomes a grey scale, and just doesn't set off the white smoke as the sky colored version does. If it were a true black and white the smoke would not be apparent.
Thanks for your thoughts
I like it. I'd be interested in seeing a b&w, too.
At the request of Donrent, Lensman, and Jaymatt I am posting what I have come up with for a black and white of the scene.
Thanks for your requests.
I like it very much, probably better than the color version.
I tend to agree, thanks for your input.
I like the high horizon giving an extended view of the. Smoke. I am more tolerant of black and white in this setting than usual, but I like this shot in color because it enhances the image of what the smoke is eclipsing.
Thanks for your input Frank. I'm now more or less on the fence as a choice between the two. I had set out to make silhouettes with color incorporated in them just to create something different. I am still going to work with photos in this respect.
