Today I wanted to share some beautiful cactus with you... Lord knows we have plenty of them around here.
This is just to get us started :)
Hate to make anybody wait until I get up in the morning LOL.
I look forward to seeing what y'all come up with today.
Cactus flower ... just seemed unusually beautiful to me
this one kinda looks like me when I wake up LOL
a different perspective on this one ... looking straight down
Day 15...
Before it started to snow
Did you hear the one about....
I've been wathcing these threads for 2 weeks now and have been blown away by all the great photos. Most of all I envy those that can find the time to pick up your camera with all that everyone has to do in a day.
Come to think of it...where is my camera?
Oh there it is...about 17 on my to-do list today....sigh...
Barely awake. Thermometer barely budging. Hot, warm tones don't make me feel any warmer. I realize some of you are even a lot colder. Other areas near us are at -14. Stay warm. A day when I am glad I have a home and heat. Can't imagine being homeless - let alone in weather like this.
How Loooowww Can You Go? (I don't want to know)
Here is my post for Day 15. I took this one on Saturday, the 14th when I went to the L.A. Zoo with my daughter & grand-daughter. All I've done is blur the chain fencing and lighten the Eagle up a bit. The sign on his enclosure said he was a "American Fish Eagle."
Image Data: f/5.8; 1/40sec; ISO-200; -0.3 step; 150mm; 5.06 aperture. Canon Powershot SX30 IS used in Portrait mode.

still groggy and very cold out...might be another indoor photo today. Took a few night shots last night PG57...but have not downloaded yet. IF they are any good Ill let you know what I did.
Love the cactus and cracking up about how you look in AM
HEY swimbob...take a pic of the dog and bring it on.
Cool photos y'all .... It's going to be a lazy Sunday around here today too... I'm so sore from the yardwork yesterday I may not get out either .... not unless that coffee brewing is packed with energy LOL
I got myself out for about 10 minutes before my fingers were frozen and had to come in. Going to rant a little today.
My neighbor, across the street has a Sweet Gum Tree and I hate it. The balls fall everywhere including my yard and it takes about 5 or six rakes a season to get them all up and when I fill my garbage pail with them I can hardley move it. They fall in front of a row of mail boxes making it dangerous..ok for some of the old folks to get their mail. Since my next door neighbor is ancient...i lost count after 90..I rake his up too. I pluck them out of our bushes, and dig them out of the ground in front of the boxes that the cars push in. I HATE THEM and have to wonder...how is it that the look so cool in the tree and so darn ugly on the ground.
