Geranium himalayense, at least that is what I think that it is...

Far be it for me to argue the name of a plant with anybody, but I can definitely agree that it is pretty. Nice work.
Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. Looks like very good detail.
If you click the little box next to the
file/picture attachment that says (store original)
next time, we can see it larger. This would be a
particularly nice one for that.
Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, I will try that next time.
Do I have to size down the picture to post it then?

Not at all friend. I guess if your worried about
someone using it you may want to. Here is
an example. Click on the download button to
see it much larger. Hope you don't mind.
This was taken with my 105 macro lens.
Not a great photo. but not to bad.
I have several others posted if you check
out my list of postings. Thanks again and have
a great night.
That is nice to know. Thank you.
That is also a nice rose. I like it a lot.

Sure thing. Someone taught me about that here
a few months ago. I just got a Nikon 105 macro lens.
I ran outside and took the rose shot less than
20 minutes after I got it out of the box. Haa.
Tomorrow I have a new camera coming in
the mail. You can bet I will be out the door
with it as soon as it arrives.
:D :D :D
I have been using an older Tokina 100 mm lens. I like it a lot. I was sold on a Sigma 50 mm that I loved, but when I started with this Tokina, something clicked. I get great results. Never thought that I would like it because my camera is a DX, and with the factor, it is like a 150 MM. But you know, I have started to like it.
I am shooting on a D7100 that I just got, and I love it.

Great. How funny. I use a 3100... and love it, but the
14 mega pixels make it difficult to crop.
As of tomorrow morning at 11:00am I will have
a 7100. B&H is my new best friend.
I can't wait.

You will like it. I love the lack of the low pass filter. The controls on the camera and not in the menu make it worth the extra cost. Sure you can get the same image from a 5300, but the extra controls make it worth the extra cost.
Very, very pretty. The light and composition are so nice.
Thank you. I was lucky here, I got the right focus. It is hard to get the focus right, esp when you are battling the wind. Sometimes you are lucky.
