One thing one never sees on this forum is the stupid prices charged for a couple of ink cartridges. In the old days you could refill your old cartridges and reset the chip ,but now printer makers have wised up to this making it very difficult. I now have found a different A3 printer where it is simplicity itself to refill the cartridges. On my 6th refill at the moment and I am so pleased.

I use 'Simplyink' runs seven dollars a tand. I get spectacular prints and has not given my Canon Pixma any problems at all. It takes seven tanks, the only thing I don't like is when it runs out of any color it shuts down. But that's not the inks fault, stupid Canon.

The laughable part is, many forum readers quote £500 to £600 for an A3 printer. I bought an A3 printer for £120.I was so pleased with it I bought another another one (slightly smaller,no back feeder ) cost me £89. Boy, am I happy

I don't think there is anything laughable about somebody spending a little money on a printer, because it delivers what he want's!

Quote from the OP: "One thing one never sees on this forum is the stupid prices charged for a couple of ink cartridges."

On the contrary, this subject has been discussed many, many times.

For years I've been buying cartridges from LD Products. http://www.ldproducts.com I've had four Canon printers in that period. Their inks are as good as Canon's but in the $6 a pop range (And cheaper in full sets) And when my 860 bit the dust and I had about a dozen unopened cartrdges they traded them for carts for my new wide, Pro100.)

Thinking about that old Crosby song "Buddy can you spare a dime". If my song was "Brother can you spare a dime" There you have it.

I have never loaded my own ink cartridges. Forgive me but what is a tand. I have never heard that term.

tand is a common typo for tank :-D :-D Simply Ink sells the LD brand ink. I've used it for years, no problems, great prints; what more could you want/

I'm sorry. I was in a hurry to get out the door to a business that my mind wasn't thinking along that line of thinking. It should have. I was thinking a unit of measurement in the world of printers. Thank you.
