Thank you for your response. I take no one for an idiot. I didn't realize I had to be an "old timeer" to post an honest item at a realistic price. Amazingly, I felt this was a better forum to offer photographic equipment than on Ebay or Craig's List where everyone at one time or another is a newcomer the first time an item is offered for sale. Apparently you feel chit chat is necessary first. At my age, I'm not certain I have that luxary. Thank you for looking at my lens.

Shipwreck, the only problem with your offer is history. We have had hundreds of people join the forum just to sell their equipment, never to be heard from again. Most sales were honest; a few were not. Consequently a number of us have developed a cautious attitude toward new member sales. This is NOT the only forum that has had this problem. Chances are, you are a nice person who has an honest product to sell. But you posted the same lens twice in three hours; that raised all kind of red flags! Take a day or so, let us know about you; we don't need your life history, but a paragraph or so about yourself and maybe a sample of your work. Just relax and join the crowd. You don't have to repost your lens; just be prepared to post a link to one of your "for sale" sites. We'll give you a chance if you give us a chance. As to being an "old timer" that isn't critical. You'd be surprised how much we learn from newcomers!

If I posted the lens twice, it simply was because I did it in error. It absolutely was unintentional.

I'm not a particularly chatty person and am much more interested in listening than talking.
