I have CS5 and I don't plan on moving up. I have Lightroom, that is good for about 75% of my editing, and I and easily open it in Photoshop and then bring it back yo Lightroom when I am finished. Lightroom is more intuitive for photographers than Photoshop, and has some great organizational tools.

As a long time experienced user of CS5, I'm curious to hear about the experiences of Photoshop CreativeCloud, at $9.95 per month. Am I missing something if I stay with CS5 and not join CC?

The only thing you'll miss is all the new updates, and LR5 (which is not that important to have anyway).

Ziza, thank you for that link. I've looked it over and now I believe people should have a little fear. Why? Well, Microsoft has seemed to spend years and years ""fixing"" each product they sell. I don't recall seeing that scenario in the Adobe world. Yet your link takes you to a place in the Adobe world that suggest a long list of fixes with the newest product, the Cloud world.

Most of the updates have been nothing more than "fixes". Very few updates are worthwhile having. Ex.: Perspective Warp and 3D printing. Oh, Yes! Here is an update worth having. Now you can just click once on the padlock to unlock the Background layer, instead of double-clicking. By the way, this new way of clicking was introduced by Adobe as a response to PS users who requested it. Quite an update!!!

In all fairness to Adobe, my first copy cost me $600+. To the folks out there that do not currently own their own copy of PS, the $10/month might very well be a fair price compared to the initial $600+ cost. And yes, as a life long teacher, I believe in Copyright Laws and believe everyone should purchase their own copies and not use copies.
