I just bought a canon FD 400 4.5 with no case, so now I would like one. Problem is I need something in the neighborhood of 50-60 cm... Any ideas? Or better yet, will anybody sell me the perfect thing?

Are you thinking, softcase, or lens trunk? ;-)

Have you checked with Canon to see if they offer anything?

I don't know that they have a size that big, but look at brands Pearstone or f-stop. On the B&H site, in the comments, people tend to say what lens works well with each of the Pearstone cases.

Look at the Lowepro Lens Trekker 600, I use it for several lenses that long, and longer.

I would also look at better padded tripod cases for what you want - likely somewhat cheaper.....

I gave B&H a call when my new Tamron SP 150-600mm arrived, they told me look at Lowespro. I bought one of theirs for the big Tam.
