1968 - 1972 Once a Marine - always a Marine!!! Was taught in boot only one person greater than we are - God - and sometimes even He has to wonder.

I just came across a "Christmas card" my brother, a Marine, sent me from Vietnam in 1968 or '69.

He made a card out of the cardboard container for an MRE, glued the photo to the front, and wrote "PEACE ON EARTH" inside. I never forgot that card...

He stayed in for 13 years, got out in 1976, and just retired a few years ago to the Tucson area.

And how about the liberals that spit on the American servicemen as they returned from Vietnam?

I really don't appreciate your starting something hateful on the same thread that honors Marines. I'm a liberal and have NEVER, will NEVER spit on a service man returning from anywhere. My brother died in the aircraft he's climbing into and he didn't swear to protect only conservatives!! My nephew fought on the ground in Fallujah and his squadron will be going back to Afganistan soon. QUIT dishonoring him and my brother and dad by saying things like that.

I would surmise that not all liberals are alike any more than all Marines are. Unless you care to be clones with the four starring in the latest UTube video, without even touching on other ways the uniform has been disgraced over the years by some or a few that wore it. It is very easy to generalize, but in general it may lack a certian amount of logic of the thinking man.
