Trey Gowdy: If a President can change some laws, can he change all laws?

and more:

What are we to do when this president, or any president decides to selectively enforce a portion of the law and ignore other portions of that law?
What are we to do Mr. Speaker, regardless of motivation, when a president nullifies our vote by failing to faithfully execute the law?

How do we explain waivers and exemptions and delays in a bill passed by Congress and affirmed by the United States Supreme Court?

How do we explain away a refusal to enforce mandatory minimums that were passed by Congress and affirmed by the Supreme Court?

And why pursue, Mr. Speaker, immigration reform if presidents can turn off the very provisions that we passed?

The oath that brand new citizens take, it contains six different references to the law.

If it’s good enough for us to ask brand new citizens to affirm their devotion to the law, is it too much to ask that the president do the same?”

As long as Congress is afraid or unwilling to step up to the plate and put the brakes on a renegade POTUS it isn't going to get any better and he/she will continue to do as he/she pleases regardless of what citizens want. Congress if your listening it's time for some of that change we heard about.

Let's hope the people put the Republicans back in control of both houses in November.

Even though the Senate will not convict a bill of Impeachment, I still think the House should pass one - The trade off would likely be even more and more drastic imperialistic actions

George W Bush used Presidential signing statements 750 times to nullify portions of laws passed by Congress. Barack Obama about 35 times.

Did you ever suggest Bush be impeached for "decides to selectively enforce a portion of the law and ignore other portions of that law?"

No.

No, but then I don't recall Bush deliberately flouting laws in the manner in which Obama has.

You know rgrenaderphoto.. you and yours constantly ask those questions about "Bush",,,,,you have no idea of the answer , yet you decide that we did not......

And once again I ask you, as you are quick to bring Bush into the conversation.... Obviously hated that Bush did those things... DO you hate as much that OBAMA is doing them... doesn't matter the number, what matters is that he is doing the same things and worse I believe that you are always railing on about Bush....

Since I have asked this particular question several times of others who use BUSH as an excuse for OBAMA's actions and have yet to receive an answer.... WHY don't you be the first and answer this simple question.

WHAT is a SIGNING STATEMENT.....

""""A signing statement is a written pronouncement issued by the President of the United States upon the signing of a bill into law. They are usually printed along with the bill in United States Code Congressional and Administrative News (USCCAN).""""

Do you notice a VERY IMPORTANT CAVEAT.... Upon the Signing of A Bill.... UPON THE SIGNING OF A BILL....

Here is a very interesting site that Gives 40 ..........

Some of these are REFUSING to obey the Law he put in place himself.
Some of them are easily identified as not complying with the law in order to benefit his benefactors......

Read and enjoy
