Hi I'm Doc Schoch. I landed on this site last week and wow what a find!
Everyone has such good ideas and suggestions for the members or can at least point you in the right direction.
I am a real amateur when it comes to this endeavor but I plan on using my life motto - "the easiest way for me to grow as a person is to surround myself with people who are smarter than I am."
I have some friends in Texas that have helped me with choosing the right equipment for my subject and have made me a much better photographer. I'm glad I will have a new "family" to help with my many questions.
I am a retired educator from Wernersville, PA and currently a volunteer naturalist with the Army Corps of Engineers.
I am looking forward to the discussions each day in the forums.

Everyone here is smarter than me
..LOL. But we are here for each other, so, we are all smarter that we are here. Have fun. Your first post is really good. Dragon flies are not the easiest to shoot.
