They should sell tickets to Gowdy's upcoming performance at the Inquisition on Benghazi.

Other than winning the contest for having the most confusing hair in Washington I wasn't really familiar with him, know he was a prosecutor before going into politics and that will be his style come show-time. He proclaims to be a straight shooter and brags about his not making any money off of Benghazi.

He has taken at least some steps to try and insulate himself from accusations that his committee is largely a partisan exercise. He swore off fundraising related to the Benghazi investigation in strong terms, for example, telling msnbc that he “never sought to raise a single penny on the backs of four murdered Americans.”
Unfortunately for Gowdy, the rest of the party didn’t see it the same way. The National Republican Congressional Committee asked donors for cash with an online graphic that proclaimed “Benghazi was a cover up,” apparently prejudging the committee’s findings.
Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., the newly appointed chair of a special select panel to investigate the Sept. 11, 2012 attack, touted the effort as one that "transcends politics" on Wednesday. But moments after his comments, the NRCC sent out an email blast, urging supporters to donate to become a "Benghazi Watchdog." "Benghazi was a coverup. Let's demand answers," the email says. "Let's go after Obama & Hillary Clinton."

Gowdy has a reputation for playing to the base with made-for-TV antics and over-promising evidence of White House wrongdoing without providing backup.

Gowdy has also been accused of mixing up his facts to go after his targets. Most recently, he expressed incredulity as to why the White House would have an interest in preparing talking points after Sept. 11, 2012 about broad Middle East unrest, because “what else was being discussed after Sept. 11, 2012 other than Benghazi?” As pointed out, there were violent protests in other countries on the same day as the attacks.

At any point it would be worth the price of a ticket to attend, unfortunately 2 years is a long time.

All most Americans want is the truth. Will there be a bit of dog and pony show? Probably, but if the truth comes out I say it's worth it. We all know there is some cover up going on, just don't know who all the players are, will be nice to find out.

It's interesting that when GB was in office the press had a field day over the daily body count in Iraq, do we hear that same measure of concern about all the young men and women dying in Afghanistan? 30 in the last month .......

The media is nothing more than lap dogs for BO

Yes, Up, unfortunately the Repubs are so afraid of Hillary they have to begin fighting against her candidacy for the presidency now. So transparent. I think everyone (except FOX news viewers) know that it's pure and simple politics. The conservatives are so very outraged, actually it's nauseating to hear them go on. But, such are the racist hypocrites...

Since Beercat opened the door, I wonder where their sanctimonious outrage was during the 13 Benghazis that Bush had? I must have been asleep for 6 years to have missed that.

Nobody ever said the right (wrong) wouldn't ever stoop to making money from anything, even if it is blood money. I guess I should have said greedy, racist hypocrites...yes, that flows off the tongue better. :)

They're not afraid of Hillary. They're afraid of the combined stupidity of all of her followers (the sheople).

I'm afraid of those who attack Trey Gowdy's "Upcoming Performance" well before that performance begins.

Kinda like pre-judging ain't it?

The truth has already been publicized about Benghazi, there is nothing more to learn. The questions have all been answered already. The Republicans are simply using this as a political tool and a money raising tool.

Your numbers are a bit off concerning the number dying in Afghanistan, it is 18 for the year 2014 at this point.

I see you have made one of the most favored posts here at the Hogg: "The media is nothing more than lap dogs for BO" Can YOU explain exactly what that means, you throw it out there as an insult explain to us why?

Thanks for standing up for truth and reason, UP-2-IT.

When it gets to calling you bad names, you know you are doing well.

Keep up the good work.

The truth has already been told? WOW . . . how in the world would you know that?
I would like to know where Obama was during the attack. He surely would have been informed of what was going on. And, when the military asked what action they should take . . . it would have been Obama that told them to stand down.
I think he was in the war room (situation room) early on. He has blood on his hands. Four dead Americans . . . all in the name of not hurting his reelection chances.

During his press confererce Mr. Gowdy called the "investigation" a "trial". It may have been a slip of the tongue, but it showed where his head is. So how impartial can he be?????
This thing has been hashed out by Mr. Issa for a while. Nothing showed up. Now they are just spinning their wheels to keep Bengazi in the news so the reakky uninformed will think there is something there. Fox will see to that.
