I have used the search engine here and can't find the answer to this question so I am going to the source. I have Photoshop Elements 10 and the NIK suite. I am thinking of getting Topaz. Will Topaz work with elements 10? I am not ready to move up to PE12 since I haven't even mastered PE10. Thanks in advance for your help.

Topaz works with Elements 11 so I see no reason why it shouldn't work with Elements 10.
However, you are making a mistake not getting Elements 12. It isn't harder. It is much easier. They vastly improved the user interface compared to 11 and earlier.
You also should consider the book by Kelby and Kloskowski if you don't have it and have concerns about Elements. It took me from three months of frustration to happy camper in three days.

Yes! It works with PSE 10 and, I think it also works as a standalone.

Yes, the Topaz modules work standalone and they also work with a free thing called Fusion Express (I think) that kinda packages them and makes a good interface to Photoshop, Lightroom, and, I think, Elements.

Thanks. I will rethink PE12.

Thanks all- I'll probably end up with Topaz and PE12.

The download instructions say the modules do not work as stand alone and must "be installed into a compatible host application" (PSE versions 6 - 12 are included in that list)

Topaz provides (right name) photoFXLab for free. It holds all the applications in a nice interface, and acts as the connection to Lightroom.
Yes, I have PSE 10 and works fine, but I now use PSP-X6 (64 bit).
Topaz is a magic tool kit and your photos will never be the same. They have a very active Webinar education program and an extensive archive.
Topaz Adjust is, in my estimate, a sampler of all their programs. The other programs are like branches on the Adjust ability. That is to say, example color enhancement yep ok in Adjust, but like walking thru Alice's door way, there is a magic world in newer programs.

I am sure that I do not need all of the 14 Topaz products. If I were to buy two I assume I'd get Adjust...what other do you suggest. I have NIK's suite so I have a noise reduction and B&W converter.

If you are interested in Topaz they are running a discount::Interested in purchasing? Be sure to use the coupon code "web5614" for a 30% discount off of ALL Topaz products until 5/11/14! ......To me this is one of the best programs out there and the whole set is worth purchasing and all their upgrades are always free not like the other ones out there plus if you do get PSE 12 you will have a great setup....Rich
I started with PS Elements 10 and Topaz plugins (all). They do not work as standalone. But, if you purchase their photoFXlab standalone, you can access all the plugin filters through that.

Thanks. I'll look into it.

I bought Topaz Detail for half price in April. Like it very much. Also got Simplify half price in March :)
