I took these yesterday and today. I would appreciate any critique you might have. I am looking for any suggestions that can make me a better photographer.

The last three are weeds but still look pretty with my macro lens.

Your macros are well done, a lot of explicit detail. Your best composition is the white calla lily. Shows it's graceful form. I know how tiny the wild flowers and I know they can be difficult. All of your images are nice. Look at blacks2's flowers. He is a master at flower portraits.

My wife grows lots of flowers so they are just sort of all over the yard. Sometimes a lot of flowers are in bloom and sometimes not.

I recently read a post on UHH that the poster could not find anything to photograph. Sometimes I feel like that so I start looking for close ups of things such as a single flower petal or the inside of a flower. When you look really close there are hundreds of little tiny (redundant I know) flowers inside the middle of the flower.

Thanks for looking at my pictures.

Thanks for looking at my photos and the nice comment. I appreciate it very much.

I just noticed your avatar and what a nice looking kitty you have. I bet that is an interesting story in itself. I am not sure where North Yorkshire, England is but I have friends who live in High Wycombe outside of London.

carlysue,

Thank you so much for your positive comments. They are just what I was looking for though I would have accepted negative comments as well.

You are right that the flowers were difficult. It was hard to get light to them since they were right in front and close to the lens.

Thanks for looking at my photographs.

Yes she is lovely Dennis, but can be moody. I am not sure if the link below will work but it is where the story is posted.

We are about 250 miles north of High Wycombe. :D
