Hi Everyone,
I have a Nikon D80 and every time I import my photos from the camera to the computer it loads double the photos. It has just begun to do this. Any solutions?

Are the photos you import the same format (JPG) or different formats (JPG & RAW)? If they are different formats, that explain the situation.

Do you have it set to take RAW+JPEG? Welcome to UHH.

Greetings Triggerhappy, and welcome to the UHH!

I just take the SD card out of the camera, insert it into the reader in my computer, then drag & drop the images to my own folder. No muss, no fuss.

I am looking at the Nikon D7100. Some say that the Nikon (body only) advertised on A.J. Richie for $729. may be too good to be true and that one should look at the
B & H website for more reliable service and products even though the price is more. Would the lower priced camera be bogus? How would I know?
I'm new at this and never ordered from A.J. Richie. Other stores advertise body only for $749. What's the real deal? Thx.

I had never heard of A. J. Richie until your question about the D7100. Their price for the body only is $300+ less than B&H. I would be a little suspicious that it may be a gray market. Their office is in New York but, the phone number listed has a Columbus, OH area code(614). I trust B&H. Their prices may not be the least expensive but, they're always fair.

Hi Triggerhappy, welcome to the hog. Having switched back to just Raw, did the problem solve itself? If not, look to the manual to make sure. Other than that i have no answer. Ive never had the problem come up for me. Im sure someone here will provide you the answers you are looking for.

My memory is not the greatest so you can take this with a grain of salt but I seem to recall the name a. J. Richie as being connected with some shady on-line camera retail operations. You need to be extremely cautious when dealing with anyone on-line who advertise very low prices. The consensus you will find with most hoggers here is stick with the tried and trusted names such as B&H, Adorama, etc. I tried searching the name A J Richie in the search function above but nothing came up. My recollection is that they were a parent company for other retailers.
