This photo was shot in Valdez, Alaska while my wife and I were attending a church service aboard a yacht. As the pastor ended his message and we were heading back to shore, the early morning sun peeped briefly through the clouds. The photo was shot with a Sigma 18-200 Walkabout on auto, as there was no time to mess with settings. This photo won the PC World photo contest called "Hot Pics" for the week of Dec. 12, 2011.

I like the shot. It is interesting keeps me in the photo and almost makes it feel like I am there. Reminds me of Monterey Bay.

Well yes, I always thank the Lord when they turn out well, because, 9 times out of 10 I just wander into them. Of course, it's not really wandering, is it?

The win says it all, it is a winner. Great shot, by design or accident. It does not matter.

Thanks, Nikron. I've been there, but unfortunately I was not into photography then. Couldn't afford the film and developing LOL
