The new Nikon 105mmVR lens just arrived

One of my first shots with the lens hand held, natural light. Any suggestions on what to do better would be appreciated. I took a few shots & this one had the best focus.

I believe it is a yellow dung fly (Scathophaga stercoraria) on Oregon Saxifrage. (Saxifraga oregana)

Get & use a speed light with a diffuser like a softbox or a ring light. It will allow you to stop down for better DOF... Noticed some spots on download... Time for a sensor cleaning...

Thanks! I've got a SB-800 & will make up something for it.
Thanks for bringing my attention to the sensor too,

Good advice I can use myself. Also need to clean my sensor on the 50D but can't get up the nerve to try. :-D I love the colors here, Muddy Valley.
