While walking this morning we passed by the local minimart. A truck pulling a trailer pulled in and parked.
The van was on the trailer and the driver stopped for less than a minute to check his load. I barely had time to sneak a quick shot. Makes me wonder what the story is on the bullet holes?? Shot with my Nikon S6100 P&S.
The Coopers hawk dived right at me just as I was ready to shoot him sitting in our tree. Got off one quick shot without time to focus or anything. Used PSE-7 to brighten and sharpen. Shot with Pentax K2000, 500mm mirror lens, aperture priority, 1/750 and 200 ISO.
Van with bullet holes
Coopers hawk in flight
The holes may be fakes. I've seen decals/stickers like that.
That bird is coming right at ya! Great photo!

I've seen those too, but from 6 feet away these were clearly real bullet holes.

Hollyak, he dived from the tree right at me. Flew about 6 feet over my head. Never had one do that before.
Wow, what a great picture his or her eyes are so intense.

Maybe it saw it's reflection in the mirror lense and wanted a closer look.
Nice shot of the hawk, just enough blur to show movement.....
Nice hawk picture. I had that happen to me recently where I thought he was going to attack but he found a mouse about 10' in front of me.
The truck must be a truck from Los Angeles. That's some serious road rage.
