My first eagle!!!

I now know a few places where they seem to hang out, so I plan on getting better shots. For now, this will have to do.

Taken with a Canon SX50 on P mode. (I use my DLSR in manual mode all the time, but the Canon SX50 does such a great job in P mode that I just tend to leave it there. :D )

To bad you chopped off the tail. Almost a great photo

Yes, hopefully next time I'll have more than 3 minutes to steady the zoom, aim, focus and shoot. I was already running late for church.

Good job! I think it's very exciting to see any raptor for the first time; they are all so magnificent.

Have you tried burst mode yet? If you are around birds that are more likely to take flight, it's a great option.

No..is that one of the presets?

Edited: Never mind, I found it. Will have to give it a try.

Just know that there will be a delay while the images write to the card. I try to not let it shoot more than 4 at a time :)

I gave it a try yesterday...whoa, it really bursts!! LOL!

So many things I've yet to learn on this nifty camera...and I've already had it almost a year.
