The clouds have a menacing quality and the colors keep getting better the closer the canyon gets.

If I had the ability, I would attempt to minimize the atmospheric stuff that happens in the distance, boost the colors a tad, make it as big as the pixels allow and hang it on the wall. This way you can enjoy your handiwork without the cold or the wind.

Glad you made the attempt and your safe for another day. Beautiful photo, nice work. It never gets old how the colors change throughout the day and make it look so different, the tones, hues, colors, etc. Thanks for a great job. Definitely a wall hanger in my opinion.

Beautiful shot! One thing for sure, the Grand Canyon rarely looks the same two days in a row.

Superb. Where were you to take that shot (north or south rim?)

Just for fun I ran it through B&W Effects and it turned out really nice also. A couple days ago, Graham posted a beautiful B&W of Hadrian's Wall. The two of you have me thinking about converting some of my older shots to B&W. Thanks.

The North Rim typically opens the 15th of May. I am fortunate enough to live 70 miles from the South Rim but I prefer the north. I knew that there was a storm coming so I scrambled up there
