Looking to trade this NEW lens for something that I would use more often. I also have another 18-55 STM lens for my Canon EOS-M system. Don't need 2 of them. I'm not sure that I even used this lens once. It's as NEW as it gets.
Could use: Canon 50mm 1.8 I (metal mount). Canon 50mm 2.5 Macro lens, etc. Let me know what you have to offer.
Thanks
Bob

Might sell it outright for $170 shipped in the U.S. Sells for $249 at B&H. But is virtually unused by me.
Remember....this is the much improved STM version, and not the ho-hum previous 18-55mm kit lenses.

What does "STM" stand for?

STM is a new technology by Canon utilized on some of their less expensive lenses like this particular 18-55, and the newer version of the 55-250mm lens, and others. It's a stepping motor that drives the focus of the lens. Also controls the focus during zooming. Not sure to what degree the actual optics have been upgraded (if at all). But I do hear a lot about how much better lenses that possess STM are than pre-STM lenses. They are a bit more expensive than the non-STM versions of the same previous lenses, and apparently worth it. Hope this helps.

The STM lens provide constant follow focus for video on the t4i, t5i, eos m, and 70d and probably on future models with video. They provide tremendous advantage for video and provide better quality images than the non-STM versions.
