I'm not an expert in proper word usage, but there is one egregious error that seems to be posted several times a week on the UHH; it is unnecessary, incorrect and annoying.

Would those members of UHH who claim to be "armature" photographers, please pull out your Funk & Wagnal's or Webster's Dictionary and look up the definition of the word? Then if you are truly "spinning" continue to use it; if not use "amateur". You might look up that word too and see for yourselves which word really fits.

My rant of the day!

And that's not all. While you're at it check out "to", "too" and "two". Is that so very hard?

If we posted a list of words that are misspelled and misused words on UHH, it would fill a page.

Photography is the subject, so as long as we get the idea, I'm satisfied. I can overlook the typos and errors.

By the way, it "Funk and Wagnalls."

I am always amazed at the speed with which correcting grammatical errors becomes wrong!
