Not so much a "baboon" look now - lol. Mom was sitting on a branch above the nest. Space is at a premium in the nest.
Canon SX50, edits in PSE 12, a touch of Topaz Detail enhancement in first two.
First two are with 2x in-camera teleconverter (equiv 2400 mm angle of view) in shutter priority, 1/800 sec. hand held.
Third pic is in burst mode, equiv 1200 mm.

Quite a reach Linda and so well done.

They are adorable! So fuzzy and soft looking, with keen eyes. You are so lucky to be able to get these shots!Wonderful.
Wonderful series, Linda. They look like the Ewoks in Star Wars. :D

Great work Linda ! The most incredible part is being hand held at that magnification ! !

Thanks so much! They're only 15 minutes from my home and right inside the state park entrance :)

Thank you kindly, imagemeister. I was thinking how clear my afternoon shots came out today, and then I remembered I'd been battling 40 mph winds the last 3 times up the canyon :) Not to mention, these sweeties are right beside the road in a state park - piece of cake LOL
