won,t shoot
I have a d3200 and have been glued to my camera since my wife bought it for me x-mas 2012, this is my first dslr, I had an Olympus {with all the buttons but not interchangeable lens} my problem is {well that list is loooong}.. I have changed the setting to back focus {thanks to all you hoggers} that works well for me!! SO... I set up the camera on "M" or "A" or "S" and am taking pictures at a family get together, I do the focus and blast out between 8 to 20 shots. I spend a good part of the day doing this and after about an hour the shutter will not work!! I push the button but nothing will happen, I will refocus and sometimes it will work and sometimes not. it gets to the point it will not take any pics, its like I have to let it cool down
this does this with 3 different lenses nikkor af-s 24-85mm / af-s nikkor 35mm 1.8 g /and the nikkor af-s 28-300mm 3.5
I did have this problem when I first got the camera but thought it was me, now that I am blasting out a butt load of pics it is getting worse. I am going to send it in but would like to be armed with some info. thank you

Reset camera to factory defaults - clear all user programmed settings (I know it's tough losing all that work), pull the batteries for 15 seconds - replace and see what happens -
(I had a shutter lock on me and did that - it cleared what ever I had set/selected that was stopping me from taking photos)
Hope this helps -
did reset, still doing the same thing.....

Hmmm - I'm stumped too - maybe search Google for the symptoms and see what pops.
If you don't get any more ideas, I would recommend a repost with Help-camera stopped working as the subject...
Good luck
What brand of memory are you using and what is it's capacity and write speed? It sounds like you could have issues with corrupted memory or buffering issues because you are shooting too fast for the camera to transfer files to the memory-which may cause corruption? Remember it's a d3200, not a D4.
How's the battery holding up?
wintec filemate--professional--32GB--480 minHD--and looks like bottom left corner has ans "S" with a backwards "C" over HC and on bottom right a "10" in a copyright sysmbol...the battery is a battery pack handle will take 6 "AA" or 2 of the stock batteries , but i use the 6 "AA"'s and get about 500 pics on a battery change
i thought because it will do 4 continious shoots on "continious" setting that it could do that 100% of the time!!! but yes i agree it is only a d3200,

what error code are you getting? look the code up in the manual in troubleshooting and it should tell you. also if your lens isn;t set to the bigest apeture number you get the fee code and shutter locks up. also if battery level is low you might get what you are expirencing.
The d3200 is rated for a max of 4fps .It sounds like you are exceeding the capacity of the cameras buffer . When the buffer is exceeded the camera has to wait until all images a copied to the card before it can fire again . try slowing down your picture taking and see if this condition goes away . Also try using a brand name card rated as SDHC .
How long do you have to wait for it to "cool down", so to speak? If it's a buffering issue it shouldn't take very long for it to clear with the Class 10 card that you have. The card could be malfunctioning. Any problem downloading your photos from it? You could try downloading your photos and formatting the card in camera, or try a different card.
I usually stay with Sandisc, Lexar or Kingston for proven quality memory, then buy the high speed rated cards. I don't look for them on e bay or crags list, as often they are fakes or mislabeled off brand cards.
Transcend also makes reliable SD Cards. I have used them for years without issue. Get them on Amazon. They have a lifetime guarantee.
