I need to replace my Nikon coolpix 510 after getting it wet. So sad, loved it. Here are some features I would like:( don't need a DSLR, already have one), viewfinder, raw processing,HDR, and a long zoom like the 510. Doesn't have to be a Nikon. Another feature, but not crucial is a port for a cable for long exposures and timed photos. Thanx in advance for your suggestions.

Canon Powershot SX50 HS. Just like the P510 only better. I have the 510 and my wife has the 50. She won't let me touch it.

The P510 has a 42X optical zoom. The Canon sx50 has a 50x zoom and the Nikon P600 has a 60X zoom, among others from Panasonic and Sony...you have a lot to choose from.

I'm not sure about the others but the Nikon P600 doesn't shoot in raw.

Greetings: My Kodak Z990 Shoots RAW...very nice 30X Zoom.
Of course, I started w/ a Brownie Hawkeye then a Rekimar.
Too sentimental, I suppose!

I have a Nikon P500 less than 1000 pictures with extra battery, CD, books, etc. Email me if you are interested. I used this for 2 weeks and bought a D5100.

Thanks

Panasonic Lumix FZ200 shoots RAW and Jpg, has lots of features. 600mm zoom, takes a cable release. Offers long exposures in Manual mode (up to 60 seconds) but does not have a B setting. I recommend it.

Since getting wet ruined your current camera, how about looking at some "tough" cameras that don't mind the water? I have a Nikon AW100.

Sony has the best in camera HDR IMHO - also sweep panoramas.

I love those in-camera panos. It seems like most Sonys have that.
