Wish I knew this last month! You get serious discounts by trading in broken (easily accomplished) canon camera's for a refurb'd unit.

Reading that website I have to think that English is not the first language.
Is this legit?
Yeah, there is a huge post on the FOTN forum site about it.

Yep it's real. I have a busted Canon p/s waiting in my desk for when I am ready to upgrade, if I can't find a better deal on Craigslist.

Oh it's legit.
Over a year ago I sent in an old junky Canon P&S that had been sitting in a drawer for a long while.
They applied it toward a refurb 50D body from
Canon Direct and I ended up getting that for $596 delivered.

I noticed the same thing. The overall sentence structure was poor. It sounds like you have to turn in a point and shoot camera and for a discounted price will receive a refurbished DSLR.
Yep, so it's dependant on refurbished stock.
It is a good program, my rebel xti, quit working, and they could fix it or I could upgrade, I got a canon 60D camera for 1/2 the price of buying it new, and it works great, love it. You get a 30 day warrenty with it. I love my new camera even though it is referbished. Would do it again if I had too.
I just left the Canon website. There is absolutely NO mention of this program anywhere on the site.

It's kind of an "insider" thing.
The techs at Irvine gave me the number.
I'm not sure I'd trust that link though.
Just give Canon a call at
