Just announced for $629, available in mid May, for APS-C. I fist saw it in Outdoor Photographer magazine, then Googled this:

Looks like a great walkaround lens that has an unusually wide angle. It could replace my 16-85 mm Nikon and 18-250mm Sigma lenses, but I probably won't buy it until there have been a couple of favorable tests. Thoughts? :?:

There are always tradeoffs with expansive focal ranges. Generally a soft image at the long end or it amounts to a slow lens. Sometimes it's painful to switch lenses but if IQ is appreciated, you choice is limited.
