When anyone talks about camera settings they use all these letters and some of us (me) have no idea what they mean. Is there a chart some where that explains them?
Most of the folks have the same malady professors have. They forget to KISS. ( Keep it simple stupid )
Stuff like DOF ( Depth of Field )
That stuff ?

PS: Professors - don't flame me. Just an example.
Hi mew, actually the answer to your question is yes. There is a chart of sorts. There are a couple threads that cover ed those over the past few months. You can do a search with in the site ('cause I don't remember what they were titled) I believe JimH has several help list posted so you could try through hi profile page. Or wait until others chime in which won't be long

Or the poster could take the time to spell things out...it's not like it's a huge effort to type post processing instead of PP and by doing so you'll actually be communicating.

may i sugest getting a basic introduction to photography guide? even once you know what the initials mean there is a learning curve to understand the relationship between shutter speed, apeture and iso. or how lens choice and apeture affect depth of field and how much of your photo is in focus. The national geographic photographers have a great series of books on all aspects of photography. Also photography for dummies is suposed to be good. (not calling you a dummy. its just their stupid name)
