I have a canon L-series super telephoto zoom lens equipped with an Image Stabilizer. I get high picture quality at all focal lengths. The Image Stabilizer has two modes and it is compatible with Extenders 1.4x II and 2x II. I purchased this lens as I needed to give myself a bit more reach. I used it primarily for flight shooting. The versatility with the lens is great. The 100-400 range is perfect for photographing Birds in Flight, perched birds and other wildlife. The images are sharp From it. The lens is push/pull zoom.
