Wonderful images Rufe. I bet you would go wild in Holland Mich. in the spring.

And Bush isn't kidding> We've been working hard on this already. PM either of us.
Getting ready for Lobster Season. If you fish lobster, you have to have your pots on the dock in good order so that you can load them and set them in their places on the floor of the Northumberland Strait on the assigned day.
This year with the ice the way it is, I can't find an announcement of a setting out day. Of course, if there is a change of wind, that day could be tomorrow. & woe to the fisher who doesn't have pots all lined up a waiting.
I haven't been back to see if any of the lobster boats have been put in the water yet.
8-)

This is in Menominee, MI. We had some high winds this past week and some of the ice from Green Bay blew in.
It was around 30F the morning that I took these.

Hi Pat. It's still here and I'm sure that it looks pretty much the same.

I had to go buy ice at the super market today. That is to much. Thank for reminding us southern folk why we stay home during the winter. LOL

Had the grandsons today and the oldest wanted me to take him to photograph the cows "down around the bend at the corner" - "just go knock on their door, Grammie and ask if we can take pictures." OK, so we did and it turned out to be someone I knew. Then off to see the water going over the dam. Here are just a few.
Serious effort at getting the cow "just right"
Mighty muddy
"Get that camera outta my face"!
Catching the thundering water at the dam - noise was almost like Niagara Falls.
Broad view of main part of dam.
Still trying for "velvety" water.
