Please be truthful with me so i can get better. Thank you so much and look forward to seeing what you have to say.

I think that the subject of the colorful landscape would have been better if taken behind those businesses. In other words, take the shot from the roof of one of the businesses, or just walk out back of the businesses and take a nice landscape image. You might also try taking a panorama in portrait mode by stitching about 5 or 6 images together,.

You want an honest answer, you bought a good Canon camera, spent the winter out in the South West and on February 13 2014 in the morning you saw a nice nice shoot of the sun coming up in the morning and decided to take a picture of it. Other then that, you have cars moving by causing a blurred distraction which takes away from the photo. To much of sky in the first photo. The second photo shows a little more to hold my interest but the building are so out of focus I don't have any Idea what you were trying to tell me.

Your photos, to am are scrap book book photos, where you can show folks where you have been and give them an Idea about what you are talking about. I wouldn't want any of them on my walls. But I would keep them on my hard drive for the reason I out lined.

In other words to make it simple, don't give up you day job at this time. Over time you get better.

And just so you know, I have thousands and more thousands of photo of the same quility, very few make my walls.

Also, your horizon is almost dead center vertically - the "rule of thirds" would make this more appealing - I have an edit, cropped to panoramic, if you'd like to see it . . .

I see what you were saying about two photos in one. Do you think the cars were in the way if i was going to try and use the hole as i had taken it before or go with less for more?

The original is just a snapshot - you have the potential for a wall-hanger, but it would take a LOT of processing to get it there . . .

The other poster's point is a good one - walk around back of the stores, use a tripod, really MAKE a photo, not just pull over & snap when you see a great opportunity.
