Shutter count on 7D

Just picked up a Canon 7D used. Shutter count is 11033, is this a reasonable count??

That's nothing. The shutter is rated at 150k but I've got a friend with over 300k on his. Mine has about 75k

GS, that depends entirely on what you paid for it. At least you know the camera works!
There is no reason why a camera can't go easily to double the shutter counts and even more. Many don't shoot 10k shoots in a year, meaning the rating won't be reached in years. Your milage may vary greatly. Good luck. ;-)

Thanks, the body is a little over a year old. Got it with a EF28-135, EF 75-300, 430EXII, Case Logic backpack, 9filters for $1000. I think that's a pretty good deal.

Just kidding. You got a great deal. It was probably used for time lapse, that's a lot of shots in a year. Enjoy your 7d, it's a super workhorse of a camera! :thumbup:

The guy had to be junkie looking for some quick cash!! What a great deal! Now go set up you autofocus points and shoot the heck out of it. Use the 28-135 first... It's really about a 44-200+ in 35mm speak, so happy shooting! ;) :thumbup:
Btw, sell/give the filters to charity...

A couple of years ago it sold for $800 with teh EF28-135 lens. So you got the EF 75-300, 430EXII, backpack, filters for $200. Not bad I guess.
