It seems that whenever someone comes up with an engine that gets fantastic MPG, we never hear anymore about it. Supposedly, the oil companies buy them out.
Well, Toyota has an engine that gets 78 mpg. Let's see it it makes it into production.

You can bet that if it does, it will produce far too much emission for use in America.

Maybe, but I think the U. S. lags behind other developed countries in emission regulations. We have richer politicians, too. A connection there?
