That stone arch RR bridge is now over 100 years old.

A little different than shooting with my old Pentax K-1000 ! I guess my new DSLR philosophy is if you take enough shots, at least a couple will turn out OK.

I believe it's the oldest and longest stone arch bridge still in daily use.

I like your Turkey Vulture. We live in their migration path so we see hundreds of them 2 times a year for about a week or two.

So how do you like your Nikon.:?: I am trying to decide on a new camera.

What happened to the other 97 shots?

Seriously, these are really good. I'm thinking of getting a D5000, and would like to know your evaluation.

First day, huh?

Went on a field trip over the weekend and used the camera for the first time. I am pleased with the results but they show I am learning. First time I tried to catch a bird in flight. I was able to pre set my camera for the trip such as shutter priority, ASO, spot metering/focus so I was better prepared than I would be with my manual 35mm.

I love it

Good to know. I've been going back and forth between what my budget (more or less non-existent) can stand and what I want in a camera. A refurbished D5000 looks like the best shot for the buck, so to speak. If I don't eat for the next month, I should be able to swing it. :)
