The penumbral phase of tonight's total lunar eclipse. Not like you can see much eclipse, it's just dimmed at this point.

That's a bummer. I'm lucky tonight; many times I have cloud cover during celestial events.

I'm new to astral photography...what lenses are required? Or actually, what focal length are you all using?

I'm using 300m on a 1.5 crop sensor. About to hook my camera up to my telescope.

In Natick, MA, cloudy skies, wild windy night....clouds tumbling overhead....occasional wonderful glimpses of half-moon around 2:30....my camera just saw black.....but it was exciting just to be outside with the trees whipping back and forth....by 3:00am I was inside....watching NASA channel...
