Not quite sure what's behind this post. Is it that the deficit has evidently been recalculated by the CBO or is it, more importantly, to highlight the fact that it (the deficit) is going to go off the charts again beginning next year?

Another way of writing it would be to say "Deficit spending is now 2/3 of the ridiculous, humongous amount we spent over and above what we took in last year that nobody knows where it went".

Both sides are responsible for the Pork, it helps them get re-elected because then they can go back to their states on campaign on see what I got for you.

The problem is not the deficit. The problem is, the bank is now overdrawn by $17.5 trillion and going, and the government continues to write checks that are not even close to being covered by deposits. So the deficit becomes the difference in the amount spent over the top of the most stupid and over the top tax code anyone could ever dream of working properly, to bring in revenue. All of the above equals economic stagnation that most certainly will be followed by rapid inflation, to create Stagflation and that is exactly why Barak Obama will take Jimmy Carters place as being the worst president ever to hold the office.
