Knowing that most pictures posted here are much better but after reading the comments by taterbug in today's postings I decided to post my first eagle shots.
This first shot is to show how far off it was, Not even visable withthe naked eye and I was told by another birder where to zoom to see it. This is my max zoom at 150mm, right from the camera, no PP. Just left of center and slightly up you should see a little white speck, that's my eagle.

This is the same shot, cropped to max & sharpened.

And that's my first eagle, not the best but their mine, I promise to do better next time.

That's about the size of my first (and only) eagle in Alaska. However, yours is much clearer.
I can appreciate trying to capture far-distant wildlife :) As well as how awesome it is to see eagles in the wild. You got a pretty flight shot.

I'm totally amazed how well my Olympus 4/3 performs, remember, I couldn't even see this guy before I zoomed in on him.
Thanks for looking.

Thanks Linda, I knew "you" would appreciate it. He stayed on that limb for about 30 minutes before taking to the air. When he took off I filled my buffer before letting up, and of course I picked the best one. Your shots are still the best. Now to get a 300mm for the long shots, AND a SX 50 for the REALLY LONG shots
:D
Thanks for looking
Marilyn Monroe once said to Joe DiMaggio, "Joe you either need a longer bat or stand closer to the plate."

AHH YES, point well taken, both would work very well.
Thanks for looking.
