Does anyone know of any point and shoot cameras that have a built in intervalometer?

I have searched on Amazon and came up empty.

If you are considering doing time lapse videos, Brinno has a line of relatively inexpensive cameras that could suit your needs.

Check the first article out about halfway down where they mention Nikon and a Samsung P&S.

This may help, too: http://www.untamedscience.com/filmmaking/advanced-filmmaking/time-lapse-photography-guide/

Hope this is what you ere looking for.

My Nikon P500 has that. The newer P510 & P520 probably have that feature.

If you already have a P/S with a remote shutter control jack you could probably find one similar to this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Neewer-LCD-Timer-Shutter-Release-Remote-Control-Cord-RS-60E3-for-Canon-Cameras-/191015891298?pt=Camera_Camcorder_Remotes&hash=item2c796f3162

I bought mine while I lived in China, but it is very similar to this. It works well with my Canon G11. They make them for Nikon and other brands as well.

The biggest drawback to mine is that there is no on/off switch so I have to remove the battery (mine uses a 2032, but some use 2xAAA batteries).

Thanks for the reply. I'm still looking I need something very light. My plan was to attach it to the bottom of my quadcopter. I do have the remote you are talking about, in Nikon flavor. Takes AAA batteries. It also does not have an off switch. I gave up worrying about it long ago. The batteries last at least for several years. After all, it is mainly a clock when it isn't actually at work.

The Leica program is just schedule time between shots. The camera will turn itself on - make the shot and shut down until the next time for next shot. saves on battery
