Can anyone explain any of these tricks? - especially the last two. He seems to make cards change without even touching them. This magician is amazing.

The one where she's just holding the card - nothing moves - nothing is touched - live television - yet the card changed. Stunning.

You are right. Experiencing the art of magic live, done well, is an awesome experience. Sorta like listening to a CD vs the live band. No comparison. There are some unbelievable (isn't that the point?) performers that are so skilled it's inhuman, Ricky Jay being one of the masters when it comes to cards. A magician's magician. Criss Angel, on the other hand, although skillful in some areas has a tendency to use camera tricks and editing quite extensively. In other words, he could not perform the same effect in front of you. This, I believe degrades the art but he feels that the end justifies the means and is laughing all the way to the bank.

Pick a card, any card........................

Yes. That's why they are classics. Presentation is everything. You can watch the Masked Magician expose a trick and right after watch a skilled magician perform the same trick had not recognize it or understand how it was done.

You must be kidding...

The card tricks in this clip are some of the 'classics' in card magic. I have performed variations of these in my shows for years. There are no camera tricks involved in these effects.

Don't neglect to check out the Amazing Johnathan. There's stuff on youtube. Mostly comic, but some neat illusions thrown in. And if you're ever in Vegas, go see his show.
